Cruise Ships Cancels Two Israeli Ports Due to Hamas Terror Attacks on Oct 07
Due to Hamas Terror Attacks on Oct 07 all cruise ships cancelled two port of call in Israel (at Haifa and Ashdod port).
After the brutal attack of Hamas-ISIS over Isreal on Oct 07 2023,
all cruise line informed all their passengers that thay canceled all their calls to Israel, and suggest them alternative ports to visit.
For those cruise ships that already docked in Israel on Saturday Oct 08, and let their passengers to disembark the ship at Haifa port to have a tour to Galilee area, all the travel agencies informed their tour guides to return with their guests back to the port ASAP, ans all the Cruise ship left Haifa port the same day.
The RC cancel the visit to Israel on May 10-12
Following the firing of the missiles from Gaza towards Israel, the ship Captain decided to cancel the docking in the port of Ashdod and to dock in the port of Haifa.
All the Excursions were supposed to leave from Haifa port on May 11, 12 and visit Galilee and Jerusalem.
The change in the ship program required special assessments of all the travel agents and tour guides who arrived at Haifa Port to pick up the guests.
The big surprise was in the afternoon, when the captain sent a message that the disembarkation of the passengers would not be allowed and since Israel was declared “Red Alert”, and the captain decided to change the ship’s route and sail to Santorini and Crete.
Of course, the Captain’s decision was disappointing for the ship’s passengers that wanted to visit the Holy Land, and caused huge losses for the tourism industry.
NJ Cruise Ship changed itineraries in Israel for Security
The Norwegian Jade Cruise Ship changed their itineraries in the Middle East because of the security situation. The NJ Cruise ship cruising the middle east, decided to change their itineraries and to remove the stops at Haifa and Ashdod port due to the latest tension between Israel and the Palestinians and Lebanon.
This change came as a surprise and was made known to the passengers only a day before the planned visit to Israel’s ports.
This week, 34 missiles were fired from Lebanon into northern Israel and about 16 missiles from Gaza into southern Israel.
The shןp was planned to dock in Israel on 10 April at Ashdod and 11 April at Haifa.
April 10 - Cruise ship back to Israel
The good news is that the situation in Israel is back to normal and in the coming week 3 Cruise ships are going to dock in Haifa and Ashdod ports: Viking Neptune, Azamara Pursuit and the Norwegian Jade.

April 13 - Haifa Port Cruise Ship updates
We currently got update from Haifa port security that the Azamara Pursuit changed their program and will not stop at the port of Haifa next week April 18-19.
